Aromantic Pride Flag
The Aromantic identity is characterized by experiencing little to no romantic attraction to others. This identity exists on a spectrum, where individuals may experience romantic attraction infrequently or under specific circumstances, while others may not experience it at all. Aromantic individuals may still form deep, meaningful relationships and experience other types of attraction, such as platonic or aesthetic. The aromantic community values the diversity of experiences and expressions within its members, emphasizing the importance of understanding and respecting each person’s unique relationship with romantic attraction.
The Aromantic Pride Flag features five horizontal stripes, each with its own significance. The top stripe is dark green, symbolizing aromanticism as a distinct identity. The light green stripe represents the aromantic spectrum, acknowledging the varied experiences within the community. The white stripe in the center signifies platonic and aesthetic attractions, which are often important to aromantic individuals. The gray stripe below it represents gray-aromantic and demiromantic people, who may experience romantic attraction under specific conditions. Finally, the black stripe at the bottom stands for the sexuality spectrum, highlighting the diverse sexual orientations that aromantic individuals may have. Together, these colors and their arrangement reflect the complexity and inclusivity of the aromantic identity.
