Please review the Parade Rules and Regulations prior to lineup.
You will be in the sun for at least 2 hours, so bring water and take the necessary precautions to be sure you don’t overheat. Your pets will also be doing A LOT of walking, so please shield their paws from the hot pavement and take the recommended precautions to keep them safe from the heat. Also, keep pets on a leash and be sure to clean up behind them.
The law protects the right to free speech in public spaces, and since the parade is free to the public, protesters are within their rights to demonstrate and express themselves during the celebration. However, Engaging with protesters can trigger aggression and escalate tensions, which puts everyone’s safety at risk. Please be courteous to your fellow pride-goers by not engaging with protesters.
Line-up Begins by checking in at the parade tent, located at the corner of 4th and Beale Street, adjacent to the main entrance of the festival. (Get Directions)
NOTE: Lineup Coordinators and volunteers will be stationed at the parade tent, and moving about the staging area wearing neon-pink Pride Volunteer T-Shirts and/or volunteer lanyards.
At Main Street, rolling and walking groups will exit in opposite directions to return to the festival area as follows:
Go left on Main St, then left again on MLK Blvd to make your way back to the festival. Take the banners and flags to the Mid-South Pride info booth at the center of the festival area. And thank. you for your service!
Go left on Main St, then left again on MLK Blvd to make your way back to the festival.
Go right on Main Street, then right again on Peabody Place to find a parking space before returning to the festival.
For safety reasons, the MPD requires walking and rolling groups to line up in seperate areas. This means that units will not step off in exact numerical order as rolling and walking groups are staggered into position at the step-off point. So watch the lineup crew closely as they will give cues when it is your turn to step-off.
Please see the Lineup Instructions and Parade Rules and Regulations for more information.
NOTE: Lineup is prone to last-minute updates. Check back 24 hours prior to lineup to confirm your group number.
Details have not yet been finalized for this year’s parade. Please check back again approximately 5 to 7 days prior to the event.
